Comparison Between Xenon Lamp and Halogen Lamp
2019-10-17 15:15:45

Xenon lamp and halogen lamp have advantages and disadvantages respectively. From the perspective of the effect of xenon lamp + lens on the ground, even the asphalt particles on the ground can be clearly observed; however, the combination of halogen + reflector may be weaker. One disadvantage is that the brightness distribution of xenon lamp + lens combination is not uniform enough, the lens can ensure that the middle area is very bright, but the two sides are darker; the combination of halogen + reflector is opposite to it, the brightness of other areas is relatively uniform, and there is no obvious visual attenuation area.

For appearance, xenon lamp looks brighter and more elegant. From the effect point of view, the two light sources are very conspicuous at night, and the color temperature of xenon lamp is generally high, which causes the light color to be white. Therefore, the contrast of white light in dark light night is larger than that of yellow light halogen lamp, which really looks brighter and more conspicuous.

For width: Xenon + lens combination is stronger. It mainly depends on whether the lens is used, and the lens brings obvious segmentation tangent line, which can better control the overall width, better than the effect of ordinary reflector.

For the difference of high beam lamp, xenon lamp is greatly affected by air quality. Because the color temperature of xenon lamp is generally high, it will diffuse with fine particles suspended in the air in the fog with poor visibility and other environments, resulting in a white effect in front of the eyes, but it has a great threat to safety. Another drawback of xenon lamp as a driving beam is that its starting time lags behind. Because of different luminous properties, the starting time of xenon lamp is slower than that of halogen lamp.
